Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how SALVO SCIENCE ("Salvo," "we," "us" or "our") collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit salvogum.com, buy our products, subscribe, or sign up for our emails or texts. We do not sell your personal information for money. We do use advertising cookies and pixels, which some state laws treat as "selling" or "sharing"; Section 7 explains how to opt out.

1. Information we collect

  • Identifiers and contact details: name, email, phone number, and shipping and billing address, which you give us.

  • Order and subscription details: products bought, order history, subscription status and returns, from you and our store platform.

  • Payment information: card type and last four digits, from our payment processors. Full card numbers are handled by our payment processors and are not stored by us.

  • Account information: login email, password (encrypted) and saved addresses, which you give us.

  • Communications: customer service emails, survey answers, reviews and photos, which you give us.

  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser, device type, pages viewed, links clicked, referring site and approximate location from your IP address, collected through cookies, pixels and similar tools.

  • Marketing interactions: email opens and clicks, text message replies and opt-in records, from our email and SMS platforms.

  • Inferences: likely interests based on your purchases and browsing, from our own analysis and our advertising partners.

We do not ask for health information. If you choose to tell us about a health condition, for example in a customer service email or a review, we use it only to respond to you or publish your review as you submitted it.

2. How we use your information

  • Process and deliver orders, manage subscriptions, and handle refunds

  • Provide customer service and respond to your requests

  • Send order confirmations, shipping updates and subscription reminders

  • Send marketing emails and texts if you have opted in

  • Personalize the site and measure and improve our advertising

  • Prevent fraud, secure the site, and enforce our Terms of Service

  • Comply with legal obligations, including product safety and adverse event reporting

3. How we share your information

We share personal information only as described here:

  • Service providers that work on our behalf, such as Shopify (store hosting and checkout), payment processors (Shop Pay, PayPal, Google Pay, card networks), shipping carriers and fulfillment partners, Klaviyo (our email and SMS platform), Judge.me (reviews), customer support tools, and analytics providers. They may use the information only to provide services to us.

  • Advertising partners such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google, which receive device and browsing data through cookies and pixels to show you Salvo ads and measure their results.

  • Legal and safety reasons, when required by law, subpoena or court order, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Salvo, our customers or others.

  • Business transfers, if Salvo is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets.

  • With your consent or at your direction.

We never share or sell mobile phone numbers or text messaging opt-in data with third parties for their own marketing.

4. Cookies and tracking technologies

We and our partners use cookies, pixels and similar tools to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, understand how the site is used, and deliver ads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some site features may stop working. To limit ad personalization, you can also use Meta ad preferences, Google Ad Settings or the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a request to opt out of selling and sharing for that browser.

5. Marketing emails and texts

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link at the bottom of any email. To stop texts, reply STOP. You will still receive transactional messages about your orders. See our SMS Terms for details on our text program.

6. Data retention and security

We keep personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes above, including meeting tax, accounting and legal requirements, usually up to 7 years for order records. We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information, but no system is completely secure.

7. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon and other states with consumer privacy laws, you may have the right to:

  • Know and access the personal information we hold about you

  • Correct inaccurate information

  • Delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions

  • Get a copy of your information in a portable format

  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your information for targeted advertising, and of profiling

  • Limit use of sensitive personal information (we do not use it for purposes that require this option)

  • Appeal if we deny your request

To make a request, email info@salvogum.com or call +1 (888) 595-3981. To opt out of targeted advertising, click Your Privacy Choices at the bottom of our site or turn on GPC in your browser. We will verify your identity before acting on access, correction or deletion requests, usually by matching the email and order details on file. You may use an authorized agent, who must provide signed permission from you. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision; if the appeal is denied, you may contact your state attorney general.

California residents: in the past 12 months we collected the categories listed in Section 1 for the purposes in Section 2, and disclosed identifiers, order details and device data to service providers and advertising partners. We "shared" device and usage data and inferences with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising. Under California's Shine the Light law, you may request information about disclosures to third parties for their direct marketing; we do not make such disclosures.

Washington and Nevada residents: we do not sell covered information as defined by Nevada law. Because our product is a supplement, purchase records could be treated as consumer health data under Washington's My Health My Data Act; we use that data only to fulfill your orders and do not sell it. 8. Children

Our site and products are intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact info@salvogum.com and we will delete it.

9. Users outside the United States

Salvo is based in the United States and our site is intended for U.S. customers. If you access it from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the U.S., where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and, for material changes, notify you by email or a notice on the site.
